What is "Gerund" ?  


Definition: A gerund is a verb form that functions as a noun and ends in "-ing."

Examples of gerunds used at the beginning of sentences as subjects:

1. Swimming is my favorite hobby.

2. Reading books helps me relax.

3. Writing requires patience and dedication.

4. Singing brings me joy.

5. Dancing is a great form of exercise.

6. Cooking is an art that I enjoy.

7. Playing guitar is something I've always wanted to learn.

8. Traveling broadens the mind.

9. Studying hard pays off in the long run.

10. Exercising regularly improves your health.

11. Teaching requires empathy and understanding.

12. Learning a new language can be challenging but rewarding.
